I'd like to quickly be able to get the BPM from a song. For Live, I can only rely on it for techno, electro and house. Serato gets the BPM right 95% of the time. I realize that I have not fully grasped the logic of warping, but have gotten to a point where I find Ableton's inability to decipher the BPM of songs frustrating. I have yet to find an easy way for having the Master Tempo and BPM grid reflect the audio material (the song) that I'm importing into Live. Dragging songs into Live, I rename files to have BPM first (i.e. Been looking for a clear and concise way to get those great looking, two-decimal BPM values for songs I drag into Live, to reflect the actual beat of the music.Ĭurrently, when making an edit of a song, I first get the BPMs in bulk from Serato.
